Engagement Key Activity & Dates

The Council have been working hard in line with Government guidelines to create a presence on the Avenue Road estate. This will allow key council officers and NewmanFrancis to provide information to residents about the regeneration and support around housing on the estate.

The Project shops will run 2 times a week (Tuesday & Thursdays) and will commence Tuesday 14 September 2021. Please note that these days may vary to meet service demands.

Procurement of Development Partner

The council have been working extensively over the past few months to evaluate and appoint its preferred development partner. 3 developers were shortlisted to be interviewed. Once a development partner has been selected, the council will write to residents to inform you of the chosen developer.

Once the Council have appointed its development partner, there will be lots of exciting engagement activities for residents to get involved in. With the developer onboard, residents will have plenty of opportunities to help shape and define the design proposals for the regeneration of the Avenue Road Estate.

Due to the COVID-19 emergency there will be some changes and delays regarding the engagement with tenants and leaseholders as the Council follows Government guidance on how to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. For the foreseeable future we will not be holding physical meetings or workships. These will start again when Government advice allows such meetings to be held.
